Offering hope to our community through quality education based on firm Christian values .

About us

We are dedicated to delivering high-quality Christian education, supported by a fully established board that meets monthly. Our team includes 18 qualified teachers, 4 assistant teachers, an administrative staff member, 3 cleaners, and a caretaker. The school is led by a Principal, who oversees academic affairs, and a Director, who manages operations and spearheads fundraising efforts.

History

Eagle’s Nest Ministries was established in 2005 by Dave and Celia Goddard as a non-profit organization with the mission of founding and operating primary schools in under-resourced communities across South Africa. Eagle’s Nest Christian Primary School, the first initiative of this vision, opened its doors in 2006 in Wallacedene—an informal settlement in Kraaifontein, on the outskirts of Cape Town. Since its humble beginnings with just a handful of learners, the school has grown to serve over 300 students today.

Frequently asked questions

We offer athletics, netball, chess and soccer. Our soccer teams are currently excelling in the district. We don’t have our own sports grounds in the school, so the community sportsground has been utilised as our home ground.

We follow the Curriculum and Assessment Policy Statement (CAPS). The national curriculum framework for South African schools, developed by the Department of Basic Education.

Admissions are currently open only to learners applying for Grade R, as all students begin their educational journey at Eagle’s Nest Christian Primary and advance through the grades within the school. Application forms are made available on the first day of the second term. Interviews are conducted during May, and parents of accepted learners are required to pay the registration fee by the end of June.

Our greatest need is financial support for the school’s operational costs. This includes teacher salaries, utility bills, facility maintenance, and our daily feeding scheme. Your support helps us keep the school running and continue making a lasting impact in our community.

Donors have the opportunity to sponsor a student’s school fees at R500 per month, or contribute a once-off amount of their choosing. Every contribution—no matter the size—makes a meaningful difference in the lives of our students and staff.

As a registered non-profit organization, we are committed to financial transparency. Our financial reports are available upon request.
